Jack Rabbit Creations was founded in 1996 by Erica (Jack Rabbit's 'Top Hare') after having her first child and watching her house fill up with plastic gifts and toys that did not last (and frankly, that she really didn’t want in her living room). Asking “Where have all the classic wood and tin toys we loved as kids gone?,” she left her buyer position at the Nature Company (remember those awesome trees in the mall stores???) and founded Jack Rabbit.
That was almost 30 years ago. And today, the mission remains the same - to create toys that last, inspire the imagination, and are powered by imagination rather than batteries. The brand has worked extensively to reduce their packaging and have it tested to make sure that it’s toxin-free and meet the USA Toy Safety Standards and conform to ASTM and CPSIA guidelines.
Another notch on their belt? The brand is currently only FSC-certified wood, so you know that whatever you buy is being made from wood that comes from responsibly-managed forests. Here, Jack Rabbit Creations' President, Jim Lancaster, answers our delightfully silly Danrie MadLibs.
